How financially rewarding is the field of permanent cosmetics?
The field of permanent cosmetics is highly lucrative. For example: performing one eye liner, eyebrow or lip liner procedure a week generally booked for an hour appointment and charged at $350.00 would generate an income of $18, 200.00 just for working one hour a week over a year period.
What is the technical definition of permanent cosmetics?
Permanent cosmetics is technically referred to as Intradermal Pigmentation, Micropigmentation, Dermapigmentation and or Cosmetic Tattooing. It is a revolutionary method of applying micro insertions of pigment into the dermal layer of skin. The method is technically known as MPI (Micro-Pigment Implantation). This state-of-the-art technique was medically developed and specifically designed for Intradermal Pigment Application which produces natural to dramatic color enhanced procedure treated areas.
What are the advantages of having permanent cosmetic enhancement?
Permanent cosmetics are for both men and women. Designed for the busy person who has little or no time to apply conventional make up, athletic people and for those with oily skin, whose make up seems to disappear. Persons allergic to conventional make up or anyone with limited hand movement, poor eyesight, contact lens wearers, burn survivors or people with skin imperfections can benefit from Permanent Cosmetic Enhancement. What types of permanent cosmetic procures are available?
Basic procedures for Eyebrows, Eye Liner, Lip Liner, Full Lip Color and Beauty Marks can be performed. More advanced procedures for Eye Lid Color Contouring, Eye Lid Crease Color Contouring, Under Brow Highlighting, Under Eye Concealer, Lip Contour Advancement and Cheek Color Contouring can also be performed by an experienced specialist. Advanced procedures in the Paramedical field are available for Scar Revisions and Camouflage, Skin Repigmentation, Areola and Nipple Pigment Restoration and Scalp and Hairline Enhancement.
What should be expected during permanent cosmetic procedure?
A typical permanent cosmetic procedure takes an average of one hour to perform however, times may vary with each individuals needs. Topical anesthetics can be applied to reduce the discomfort of delicate skin.
What should be expected during the permanent cosmetic recovery period?
Following the permanent cosmetic procedure, normal activities may be resumed while maintaining after-care instructions. Slight redness or swelling that may occur subsides quickly and cool compresses may be used. It is recommended that the treatment area be kept clean and a thin application of a topical ointment such as A & D or natural Shea Butter be applied. The topical ointment aids in minor sloughing and normal pigment fading that occurs during healing. Although, initial healing varies, it is usually within five to seven days and overall healing is usually complete within three to five weeks.
Are permanent cosmetics really permanent?
While permanent cosmetics are considered to be a permanent procedure, it is a proven fact and normal for pigment lightening to occur over a period of time. The time period for pigment lightening varies with each individual. Maintenance procedures are available to restore density in the coloring as lightening occurs.
Do permanent cosmetic procures require more than one application?
A follow-up appointment to give greater density in the coloring may be scheduled in three to six weeks when overall healing is complete. Generally, the recommended follow-up applications are performed within 90 days of the initial procedure and are performed at no additional fee. Maintenance or additional pigment applications are charged a procedure fee.
Should any precautions be considered prior to a permanent cosmetic procedure?
If prone to such conditions, fever blisters or cold sores may occur in association with lip procedures. A physician may be contacted to obtain an appropriate prescribed medication. A perspective Permanent Cosmetic client may also wish to contact their physician for medical advice and or possible pre-medications, should the client have any medical or otherwise condition that could result in an adverse reaction. Permanent Cosmetic clients should also remember is not advisable to accept any prescription drug advice from anyone other than a physician or pharmacist who is licensed to give such information and or advice.
